Being grounded is an essential skill for sensitive people who pick up emotions from the people and environment around them. It means that you're present in your body and connected with the earth, allowing you to feel centered and balanced no matter what's going on around you. If you aren't grounded, you're thrown off balance very quickly. But when you are well grounded, you are like a big, strong tree. If something happens around you, it doesn't influence you so much and you are able to feel much more peaceful and balanced in your daily life. Grounding connects you to the Earth. 

  1. Walk barefoot

Imagine an energetic connection coming out of your feet, into the earth. Also visualize such a connection between your base chakra at the base of your spine and the earth, and allow these connections to go deeply into the Earth.

  1. Look at every detail of your environment

Healing or integrating parts of you that doesn't want to be here takes time. It has many layers to it. It's important to remember that as long as you're here you can use the energy and the strength of the Earth to support you. Grounding will actually help you feel more balanced and centered, once you get through the resistance.

  1. Focus on your breathing, feel the air moving through

Take a few minutes to just breathe with whatever emotion is present. Allow it to be there. Allow the emotions to be just an energy running through your body. It will be like a wave: once you focus on it, it will seem to grow and get more intense. When you can breathe more easy it means you just realised bad emotion.

  1. Take time out each day and look for the beauty around you

No matter where you are focus on what inspires you rather than staying negative. Appreciate the beauty of the nature and eternity of your being. Go outide, look at the sky, feel the wind on your skin.

  1. Do something physical

When you aren’t sure how to ground yourself, try physical activity. Moving your body can help you feel more centered quickly.
